About me

 

For most of my life I have been writing poetry and taking photographs. My first photos were taken on an analog Yashica FX-3 2000, which I still have and use sporadically. These days I mostly use a digital Sony A7 III.  As I do in my poetry, I also try to slow down time in my photography and to add additional layers of meaning. Experiencing without the need to understand. Letting the image bring about a new separate experience, an extra layer or sometimes multiple and evencontradicting layers.

As life often appears to be a chain of coincidences, so my photos can also at times seem to represent visual coincidences, where I am the innocent bystander, the silent witness, who struggles to hold on to something that can never be truly saved. The ultimate lesson, as always, is to let go...
